General Conditions of Sale

VANZANT AUCTIONS TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE:

Payment Types: Cash.
Visa/MasterCard/Discover/Amex — As of February 1, 2025 all card payments (credit or debit) will incur a 3.5% fee charged by the processing company at the time of purchase. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY THIS FEE IF YOU PAY CASH – THIS FEE IS ONLY FOR NON-CASH PURCHASES.
NO CHECKS PLEASE.

We thank you for looking and bidding—please help us keep inventory under control by remembering to pick up ALL AUCTION PURCHASES Monday 10–5, Tuesday 10–5, or Wednesday 10–6. ALL AUCTION ITEMS MUST BE PAID FOR AND PICKED UP LOCALLY BY WEDNESDAY AT 6 PM. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY—WE DO NOT SHIP.

PLEASE NOTE: All items have a lead/title and most also have an additional description below with more information about the item. Please read the lower description for condition details (NEW vs PREOWNED, notes on damage, etc.). We use stock UPC photos when possible and also try to add an actual shelf photo—always scroll all photos; stock images may show a different color or pattern. If you see a discrepancy, do not bid. We process hundreds of weekly; errors can occur. Rely on the title, lower description, and all photos.

LOCAL SALES ONLY – NO SHIPPING.

If you cannot make pickup, email us the authorized pickup person’s name and we will release your paid items to them. You can also request a secure online pay link.

Food items: taxed as general merchandise and subject to sales tax and the buyer’s premium and per-lot fee. We move fast and bring great deals weekly; all items are subject to Nevada sales tax—no exceptions. Some products (e.g., baby car seats) may be subject to recalls or updated regulations; with 1,400+ lots/week we cannot research every possible recall—please do your own due diligence and bid accordingly.

Buyer’s Premium & Per-Lot Fee

* Buyer’s Premium: 18% added to each item.
* Per-Lot Fee: $1.00 per lot added to each invoice.
* Sales Tax: Per state statute, Nevada sales tax is charged on the aggregate of the bid price plus the 18% buyer’s premium plus the $1.00 per-lot fee, unless you are exempt by law and have established exemption prior to the sale.

NO LIVE PREVIEW — THIS AUCTION IS ONLINE ONLY.

Pickup Days: Monday & Tuesday 10–5, Wednesday 10–6. All items must be paid for and picked up by Wednesday at 6 PM. If needed, we can send a secure pay link and you may authorize someone to pick up on your behalf. In case of emergency, we may allow a one-time pickup the following week by appointment (items still must be paid by the Wednesday deadline).

Unpaid invoices will be voided and items re-sold. Accounts will be closed (including all related accounts by name, address, email, card, and IP). Bids are binding—please bid responsibly so we can keep bringing you great items weekly.

If authorizing someone to pick up, email us their name for our records.

This auction runs all weekend and ends Sunday night. Pickup Monday–Wednesday as stated; all items must be paid for and picked up by Wednesday 6 PM.

Remember: there is an 18% buyer’s premium and a $1.00 per-lot fee, and Nevada sales tax applies to the item price + buyer’s premium + per-lot fee. Please factor these into your bidding. These fees are standard in the auction industry and help cover cataloging, inspection, photography, and operations.

Conditions of Sale (Tax & Registration)

As per state statute, sales tax is charged on the aggregate (bid price + buyer’s premium + per-lot fee) unless exempt by law and established before the sale. No exemption claims will be accepted at settlement. All bidders must be ID-verified by registering with a valid credit or debit card.

All buyers must have a paid receipt at pickup (staff can print one). Vanzant Auctions is not responsible for heavy item loading. All auction items must be paid within 3 days of the auction closing. Pay cash at the counter or by card online/at the counter (3.5% fee for non-cash).

Removal & Abandonment

REMOVAL: If items are not removed by the deadline and there is a discrepancy, no refunds will be issued. Items not removed by the deadline may be resold or disposed of due to limited space. All merchandise not removed within 7 days after the sale is considered abandoned and will be disposed of or resold.

“As-Is / Where-Is”

All merchandise is sold “As Is” and “Where Is” without warranties or guarantees. Buyers must rely on their own judgment and the provided descriptions/photos/UPC info. These are overstock/return goods; some items may have dents/dings/missing hardware. If this model of buying is not for you, please do not bid. Most items are about half of retail; sometimes parts/hardware must be ordered.

Winning bidders are responsible for their own removal (bring plastic wrap, tools, and help). Vanzant Auctions does not load.

Buyer discrepancies must be reported at pickup. If something is missing, alert us immediately so we can address it.

Pickup Location

Pickup location: VANZANT AUCTIONS, 61 WEBB CIRCLE, RENO NV 89506 (back of Webb Business Park; door 61). The large Amazon building is on the left; we are on the right at door 61.

USD Buyer Premium: 18% + $1.00 per lot — Payment Terms: Cash preferred; cards accepted with 3.5% processing fee. Please pay for and pick up items within 3 days of auction close. Paying cash avoids the processing fee entirely.

LOCAL PICKUP ONLY — WE DO NOT SHIP.

Bidding Rules

Your bid is a contract. ONLY BID IF YOU CAN PAY AND PICK UP BY WEDNESDAY 6 PM. By registering, you authorize us to charge your card on file at 6 PM Wednesday after the auction ends if you have not yet paid.

Returns (Good-Faith Policy)

Most auction houses sell goods “AS IS / WHERE IS” with no returns. We follow that rule, but we try to list accurately and understand honest mistakes happen. You are allowed one return per 12 calendar months. Email vanzantauctions@gmail.com for authorization and instructions (each situation is unique). Please notify us of any potential return/issue within 14 days of the sale so we can adjust sales tax if needed.

If a title/photo mismatch slips through our spot checks and you notice it, do not bid on that item. We will correct it the following week.

We appreciate our local buyers and strive to provide honest value. Good vibes only—combative behavior may result in refusal of service. Thank you and happy bidding!
